He was buried in Albany, N.Y. on July 28, 1665. He came from
Holland previous to 1640 and settled in Rensselaerwyck, where
he held lands under Patroon Van Rensselaer in 1641, and owned
lands in Beverwyck, now Albany. Cornelis is the ancestor of
all the "Albany Bogarts".
